Peg Solitaire
What is Peg Solitaire?
Peg Solitaire is a solo jump puzzle, also known as Kongming chess, Solo Noble, Solo Goli, Marble Solitaire, or simply Solitaire, where you hop one peg over a neighbor into an empty hole, remove the jumped peg, and keep going.
You start with every allowed hole filled except the center. Chain straight-line jumps until only one peg remains—ideally back in the middle. Helper hints and the auto-solver can steer you toward clean runs.
The first printed mention shows up in 1697 at Louis XIV's court, where Mercure galant outlined the cross board, rules, and sample drills.
Whether you choose the triangle board or the familiar cross board, each run feels like a calming brain teaser and strategy puzzle that asks you to plan ahead, while helper hints and the auto-solver keep the pace gentle as you chase a perfect run.
